Jeff Smith

Jeff Smith started playing indoor volleyball as an outside hitter for Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas. His true love was playing beach volleyball and in 1997 he packed up his belongings and moved to San Diego CA to pursue his dreams. For the last 10 years, Jeff has played professionally on the AVP. In 2001, he represented the USA in the FIVB Tournament in China. 

Jeff has a very diverse coaching experience. He has coached as an assistant at the University of Chicago and Christian Heritage College. During his time on the beach, he has coached several of the top women's players on the AVP. His insight and training regiment has allowed other teams to take the next step in becoming a professional athlete on the AVP. Jeff is the Director of 692west in San Diego, which just signed it's first player to a division one beach scholarship to Georgia State University for the inaugural collegiate beach season.
