John Edmond

John began playing volleyball after high school, picking up the sport very quickly training in the FIVB sand circuit in San Juan, Puerto Rico during the 2004 season. Capitalizing on that success, John earned a starting right side position at the professional level with Volleyball Club Markranstadt, Saxony Regionaliga, in Leipzig, Germany during the 2005 -2006 season. He returned to Dallas to begin his undergraduate studies at University of Texas at Dallas where he is currently a dual-major of Finance and Accounting. John continues to play competitively and is the only coach in the North Texas Region to be 2-time consecutively honored on the All-Tournament team during the 2009 & 2010 USAV Adult National Tournament.

John has been coaching volleyball in Texas for over 8 years and he also coached the TSV76 Volleyball Club, boys beach volleyball in Halle, Germany. This is John’s 4th year to coach at 692. He is currently playing for a team in Canada during the winter season.
