2018 FALL SEASON

Winter is a great season to get introduced to beach volleyball and prepare for our competitive season in Spring and Summer. Our National Team and Training Team tryout is at the beginning of Spring and Winter season is the last chance to prepare for those tryouts. Of course the big question is the weather. What are we going to do if it gets cold? We are going to handle it by cancelling any practice below a certain temperature. Those practices will not be made up. Instead, we will credit everyone at the end of the season for any practices that were cancelled. That way you are only paying for the practices we have. This credit can be applied toward the 2019 Spring OR Summer session.

Program Duration: This program will begin on November 11 and run through February 7, taking off December 25-January 1. This will give us 23 practices for the full winter season.

Practices: Our practice times will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-7:00

Tournaments: We play in two out of state events for Winter Season and will host a college clinic with UCLA head coach, Stein Metzger.

Partners: This is an individual training program, so you don't need a partner. We are emphasizing training girls as individual players in the Winter. Learning to play with different people is very important and we are going to use the Winter season to work on that, since teams are not in a competition season. We will help girls find partners for tournaments.

Cost: The cost is $700 for the Winter. This will include a shirt, but no other equipment.

Tryouts: There are no tryouts, anyone is welcome to participate. Our registration will take place on Sunday, November 11 at 9:00am. The Winter Season would be a great time to introduce you to our program if you have never played for 692 or a great time to start preparing for our National Team tryout in February!

Our practices are located at The Strand, located on 150 Continental Drive, Lewisville 75067.

692FIT

Our strength training program focuses on olympic style lifts combined with beach volleyball specific plyometrics. It is designed to help players jump higher, move faster, hit harder, and most of all avoid injury. Our seasons coincide with our volleyball seasons, so we open registration at the beginning of each season and athletes commit to 20-24 lifting sessions each season.

Dan Duren is our official photographer and shoots pictures of us at most tournaments. You can check out his pictures at

Braasch Twins

Kiersten and Sydney Braasch were the 18U National Champions for the USA Beach Tour in 2010 and 2011 and the #2 ranked team in the country for three years.

They played up in the 18U division since they were 14 years old and only lost one tournament in this region in 4 years. The Twins played in their first professional event in 2012 and got 3rd

The Twins were selected in 2010 to attend the A1 High Performance Camp and the High Performance Championships at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California where they placed 2nd for three years straight, losing only to Sara Hughes and her partner Justine.

They were invited in 2011 to train with the 19U National Team that is training for an event in Croatia AND the 21U National Team that is training for an event in Canada. Kiersten and Sydney participated in the International Development Qualifier, en event that qualifies adult teams to compete internationally, and they made it out of pool placing them in the top 16 against adult AVP teams.

The Twins have been the most successful team we have ever produced in our 12 years of training juniors. The Braasch twins never played in college because they graduated the year before beach volleyball started offering scholarships. They are currently at UT in pharmacy school together.

Irene Hester-Pollock

Irene Hester came to us to learn beach volleyball while she was in college playing indoor at TCU. She spent two years training with us and she has never stopped. She moved to California to pursue a career playing professionally on the AVP and FIVB tours and she has had great success as a rising pro.
