Spring Season Minimize

This is a Spring program for our top players. We have had a lot of demand for a year-round program. Some of our players have decided to play beach instead of club so they can focus on getting a scholarship for beach volleyball and some players want to do both, but start beach as early as they can, so we started a new program last year called the 692 High Performance Team. This will be a group of players who will begin training in February as soon as it warms up. We know exactly what the Olympic Training Center is looking for and our goal is to prepare these players for the High Performance Tryouts and to get beach volleyball scholarships. This is a critical program for our top players and last year all of our High Performance Team was invited to train at the Olympic Training Center during the summer. Most of these players have a basic grasp of our system because we spend most of our time going over advanced concepts, but we occasionally take new players each year.  If you think you could be a good fit for this team, email us and let us know that you are interested.

Program Duration: This program will begin on February 14 and run through our tryout in May... a little longer than a regular summer season

Practices: Our practices will be at Yucatan on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30

Tournaments: Our schedule will consist of a professional pro-am in California, some out of town USA High Performance qualifiers, and some adult professional tournaments in Texas. We are always looking for new opportunities for our spring season, so there may be some exciting new things added to our schedule this year.

Partners: You will NOT need a partner for this program. We will train all the girls as individuals and then pair them up for the tournaments.

Cost: The cost is $800 for the spring season.

Tryouts: There are no tryouts, email Scott at Scott@692beach.com if you are interested in participating and we will discuss if this program is a good fit for you. To register for our Spring Season, just send an email to Scott at info@692beach.com and let us know you are interested in participating. We will be meeting at Yucatan on Tuesday, February 14th at 5:00 to get everyone signed up for the season.

We took our 2011 High Performance Team to San Diego to play in a tournament with some top AVP pros from Southern California. The girls were each paired up with one of the pros as a partner and then played with them all day. It was an amazing experience for our girls and we can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Spring Season Minimize

This program is designed for players that want to get a jump on the summer beach season, but don't have the time to participate in our high performance program. This program will work around the player's club season, won't require any conditioning, and will allow more dedicated players the additional opportunity to master the skills they need to be more successful during the regular season

Program Duration: This program will begin on February 14 and run through our tryout in May.

Practices: Our practices will be at Yucatan on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:15

Tournaments: This program won't have any tournaments during the spring season.

Partners: You will NOT need a partner for this program. We will train all the girls as individual players.

Cost: The cost is $400 for the spring season.

Tryouts: There are no tryouts for this program. Anyone can participate.

This program will be a great fit for existing 692 players because it will allow them an extended season to master the skills they need to be successful in beach volleyball, and it will also allow new players to develop the skills they need before our regular season tryout in May. Participation on our Spring Team will not guarantee anyone a spot on our regular season team, but it will help develop the skills we are looking for in our regular season tryout. To register for our Spring Season, just send an email to Scott at info@692beach.com and let us know you are interested in participating. We will be meeting at Yucatan on Tuesday, February 14th at 5:00 to get everyone signed up for the season.

Summer Season Minimize

This is our primary summer program that we have been running for the last 7 years.

Program Duration: Our Tryout is the Sunday after indoor club regionals, usually the second week in May, and our summer season runs until high school programs start in late July.

Practices: Our practices are at Yucatan Beach Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our 18U and 16U teams practice from 12:15-2:15 and our 14U and 12U teams practice from 2:30-4:30

Tournaments: There are tournaments every friday night and every weekend. We go out of town for several events, so you can pick and choose which events you and your partner want to play in.

Partners: Some girls already have a partner they want to play with and other girls do not come to us with a partner. We do our best to match these girls with a partner, but in the end it is your choice who you play with.

Cost: The cost is $750 for the summer

Tryouts: Our 2012 tryouts are in May

  Minimize

This is our first year to offer a Fall Program, but we have had a lot of demand for one, so here it is! There are no tournaments in the Fall, so this is the perfect season to work on new skills for each age group.

Program Duration: This program will begin on August 21 and run through October 23... about the same as a summer season

Practices: Our practices will be at Yucatan on Sundays from 5:00-7:30

Tournaments: There are no tournaments this late in the season and most girls are busy with their school programs, however, playing in a competitive environment is very important, so each practice will be a 90 minute practice followed by a mini-tournament of some kind for the remaining hour.

Partners: This is an individual training program. We are emphasizing training girls as individual players in the Fall. Learning to play with different people is very important and we are going to use the Fall season to work on that, since teams are not preparing for any important tournaments. We will assign partners for the games at the end of each practice

Cost: The cost is $350 for the Fall Season.

Tryouts: There are no tryouts, anyone is welcome to participate. The Fall Season would be a great time to introduce you to our program if you have never played for 692. Email Scott at Scott@692beach.com if you are interested in participating.
