Coaches Minimize

Dr Dar Griffeth

Dar began playing volleyball in college and played at the University of Texas at San Antonio and the University of California San Diego as an Outside Hitter. He played for 4 years with the US Navy Volleyball team and 2 as an international player in Japan from 1995-1997. He has been an All-American twice and received two letters from the US Men’s National Team for tryouts in 1994 & 1995 as a defensive specialist. Dar started playing beach volleyball in 1990 and Has been playing on the AVP qualifier Tour and other regional tours for over 10 years. He qualified for his first AVP event in 1992 in San Antonio and has qualified at several other events over the years.

Dar has been coaching at the high school and club level for several years and has continued to enjoy playing competitively both indoor and outdoor with several notable accomplishments and in 2008 his USAV indoor team won Regionals and went on to compete in Nationals. This is Dar's 6th year to coach at 692. He is currently a Chiropractor in Las Colinas.
