Yep, We coach surfing too!
Winter is a great season to get introduced to beach volleyball and prepare for our competitive season in Spring and Summer. Our National Team and Training Team tryout is at the beginning of Spring and Winter season is the last chance to prepare for those tryouts. Of course the big question is the weather. What are we going to do if it gets cold? We are going to handle it by cancelling any practice below a certain temperature. Those practices will not be made up. Instead, we will credit everyone at the end of the season for any practices that were cancelled. That way you are only paying for the practices we have. This credit can be applied toward the 2021 Spring OR Summer session.
Program Duration: This program will begin on November 10 and run through February 4, taking off December 23-December 31. This will give us 23 practices for the full winter season. We are starting a week earlier then we usually do so there are two extra practices.
Practices: Our practice times will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-7:00pm
Tournaments: We play in two out of state events for Winter Season and host several college clinics
Partners: This is an individual training program, so you don’t need a partner. We are emphasizing training girls as individual players in the Winter. Learning to play with different people is very important and we are going to use the Winter season to work on that, since teams are not in a competition season. We will help girls find partners for tournaments.
Cost: The cost is $750 for the Winter. This will include a shirt, but no other equipment.
Tryouts: There are no tryouts, anyone is welcome to participate. Our registration will take place on Tuesday, November 10 at 5:00pm. The Winter Season would be a great time to introduce you to our program if you have never played for 692 or a great time to start preparing for our National Team tryout in February!
Our practices are located at The Strand, located on 150 Continental Drive, Lewisville 75067.
Spring is our favorite season. Some of our players play beach full time instead of club so they can focus on getting a scholarship for beach volleyball. Some players want to do both, but start beach before the summer season. This group of players will begin training in February as soon as it warms up. This is a critical program for our top players because it is the start of our National Team and Training Team season.
Our Spring Season practices are located at The Strand at 150 Continental Drive, Lewisville, Texas 75067
Program Duration: This program will begin on February 16 and run through May 8… a little longer than a regular summer season
Practices: Our practice times will depend on the age group.
12U and 14U will practice on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00-7:00
16U and 18U will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00-7:00
Our NATIONAL TEAM will practice on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 5:00-7:00
If you have a conflict on one of these days, just email us about it. We may be able to work around it.
Tournaments: Our schedule will consist of several local tournaments and BVCA challenge matches and we finish the season in Gulf Shores at the Beachfest, which runs concurrently with the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championships.
Partners: You will NOT need a partner for this program. We will train all the girls as individuals and then help them pair up for the out of town tournaments. It will always be your choice who you play with in tournaments.
Cost: The cost is $985 for the regular season. Players from previous seasons who keep their backpack, ball, and 2017-2019 lululemon top can receive a $135 credit, making the cost $850.
Tryouts: TRYOUT IS FROM 2:30-4:30 FOR 18U AND 16U, 5:30-7:30 FOR 14U AND 12U. There is a $50 registration fee (early registration) for Spring and Summer.
Tryouts for our NATIONAL TEAM and TRAINING TEAM (TEAMs) are on March 3 and March 5. There is $50 tryout fee for our TEAMs tryout. We only have ONE tryout each year for our National Team and Training Team and it is in the Spring. Eligible players must be registered in our Spring Program and must be in 9th grade to tryout for our National Team and 8th grade to tryout for our Training Team
We have a limited amount of spots for Spring Season and we hope to be able to accommodate everyone that wants to play, but we will never cut 12U players as long as they can consistently overhand serve over the net.
NATIONAL TEAM and TRAINING TEAM: We have two elite groups of players within our program that we call our “National Team” and “Training Team” (TEAMs). Each team consists of around 24-30 players and each player tries out as an individual. Tryouts for our TEAMs are on Tuesday, March 3 from 5:00-7:00, Thursday, March 5 from 5:00-9:00. Eligible players must be registered in our Spring Program and must be in 9th grade to tryout for our National Team and 8th grade to tryout for our Training Team. We only have ONE tryout each year for our TEAMS. Potential players must plan to attend both tryouts. There is a $50 tryout fee for our TEAMs tryout. We will select four groups on March 3:
Group 1: National Team players that receive automatic spots.
Group 2: Training Team players that are selected to compete for the remaining few National Team spots. This is done in a Queen of the Beach tournament format on March 5. The winners are offered spots on our 2019 National Team, the remaining players are on our 2019 Training Team. These players that do not earn spots on the National Team are alternates and could be moved up later in the season if a spot opens.
Group 3: Training Team players that receive automatic spots.
Group 4: Players that are selected to compete for the remaining Training Team spots. This is done in a Queen of the Beach tournament format on March 5.
The National Team and Training Team each consist of approximately 24 girls and the tryout is open to any high school age freshman (or older) currently participating in our spring season. Training Team spots are open to eighth graders.
– Girls who make our TEAMs commit to playing in the Spring AND Summer sessions. We only host ONE tryout each year.
– There are some mandatory tournaments for the TEAMs in June and July. These events are labeled with ** on our summer schedule
– Partners for players on the National Team are chosen in June by the 692 coaching staff (with input from the players). Our goal is to prepare our National Team for playing beach volleyball in college and this helps prepare them for how college programs function. We allow the players to choose their own partners during the spring season (although we encourage them to try out certain matchups). We assign partners in June for June-July.
– There is an additional fee of $2550 for girls selected to the National Team/Training Team. This fee covers the Summer club fees, the additional practice day for Spring and Summer, the additional equipment that the TEAM’s girls receive, and a $500 deposit for the Beach Camp for the national Team in July (the balance of the National Camp is $300 and it is due on June 1). This fee can be made in three payments due Mar 5/April 5/May5.
– All National Team players attend our Beach Camp in July. We also get BVCA bids for our National Team players and give any remaining bids to our Training Team.
The Fall Season is a great time to introduce yourself to our program if you have never played for 692 and a great time to start preparing for our 2021 National Team tryout in February. Fall is the beginning of our 2021 Full Time Beach Season that ends in California in July.
Program Duration: This program will begin on August 9 and run through October 28
Practices: Our practices will be at The Strand on Wednesdays from 5:00-7:00 and Sundays from 4:00-6:00. We will have two different programs available, our regular program will be both days, but we will have an option for once a week on Sundays because we know some girls have indoor practice after school during the week.
This year with the delay in school opening we will offer a third practice on Mondays from 3:00-5:00 for five weeks until September 7. This additional day will cost $200.
Tournaments: We will host several local tournaments, but our schedule is not posted yet. Our Friday Night Tournaments will continue until the end of September.
Partners: This is an individual training program. We are emphasizing training girls as individual players in the Fall. Learning to play with different people is very important and we are going to use the Fall season to work on that, since teams are not preparing for any important tournaments.
Cost: The cost is $840 for the Fall. The reduced season that only practices on Sunday will cost $540. Players from previous seasons who keep their ball receive a $40 credit, making the cost $800 for returning players, or $500 for Sundays only. Adding the five Mondays to your schedule will cost an additional $200.
Tryouts: There are no tryouts, anyone is welcome to participate. We typically have plenty of space available. If we have a large group on Sundays, we may need to add a second time slot at 9:00-11:00. Our registration will take place on August 9 at 1:00. The Fall Season is a great time to introduce yourself to our program if you have never played for 692 and a great time to start preparing for our 2021 National Team tryout in February. You do not need to pre-register or do anything online, just show up on August 9 at 1:00pm and be ready to practice. We will host a practice that day and get everyone signed up.
This is our primary summer program that we have been running for the last 15 years. Things are a little different this year. We have more practices and smaller groups to comply with safety guidelines, but this is the same program we have always run that has gotten over 70 athletes division one scholarships.
Program Duration: May 15 – July 25
Practices: Our schedule is different this year.
12U and 14U will have the option of practicing on Monday and Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 or on Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30-2:30
16U will have the option of practicing on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-5:00 or on Monday and Wednesday from 12:30-2:30
Practice times will fill up at registration on a first come, first served basis and may not be available. We will add new practice times if existing ones fill up.
Tournaments: There are typically tournaments every Friday night and every weekend. This year we are rebuilding our tournament schedule depending on when we are allowed to run tournaments.
Partners: Players choose their own partners, so players that register with a partner can play with that person. Players that come in as an individual we can help match up with a partner based on their skill level and what events they can play in. Coaches will help players find an appropriate partner, but it is up to you to secure a partner for each tournament.
Cost: The cost is $985 for the summer. Players from previous seasons who keep their backpack and ball and top receive a $135 credit, making the cost $850 for returning players.
Registration: Our 2020 registration will be on May 16
12U registers at 10:00am
14U registers at 11:30am
16U registers at 1:30pm
18U registers at 3:30pm
There is no tryout this year and no tryout fee and no online registration beforehand. Players will just show up and register and leave. We won’t be on the courts at all during registration.
Our tryouts and all practices are located at the Strand at 150 Continental Dr, Lewisville 75067
We have a satellite program that practices in Fort Worth at the Game On sports complex. Our practices in Fort Worth are once a week on Sundays from 1:00-3:00 or from 3:00-5:00. Registration for that program will take place on Sunday, May 17th at 1:00.
